Recent projects
- awaytoweb - a perl script that monitors AOL Instant Messenger away messages to produce a web page and RSS file. example at awaylog.
- dripmail - a set of perl scripts to convert email to a weblog-like format. written for dripmail on my site.
- Über Personals - much like the original Über.nu webzine, this started as a joke. I don't actually know if it's still a joke anymore. (A joint project with with Ben.)
- texterizer - a Flash tool to make text shows like the Adult Swim interstitials.
- IMStalking - Watches AIM away messages of those who opt-in and creates web pages from the content.
Web applications
- Organizine - I wrote a simple content management system for independent publishers. It was public for a week and then I shut it down. More about it: here and here. No, I am not going to resurrect it. No, I am not going to open source it. [1/1/2001-1/9/2001]
- Deepleap - I spent a summer working at a startup on a browser assistant that dynamically provided contextual tools and information that CNet called "must-have addition to your Net toolset." Then the company died. [5/2000-8/2000]
Weblogs
- webloglog - post post-modern. meta meta-filter. n-degrees removed from content. a weblog only about other weblogs. The height of weblog mania intersected with a period of my life where I was very angry and had lots of time on my hands. comic genius resulted. [3/2000 - 8/2000]
- blueblog - the useless personal weblog of adam mathes. The most updated part of my site was this weblog for the year it was running. Full of stupid links and commentary, which is what weblogs used to be like before the world became confused. [10/1999-2/2001]
Additional projects
- paene dedecor - a punk band i hastily formed to record a rendition of a catullus poem for my latin class. see also: mp3.com for downloads. [5/2001]
- the meaning of life - a text adventure in absurdity. a work of interactive fiction [6/1998]
- adam and matt - for some reason, of anything that's ever been written about me, this is probably my favorite. it's a little piece a friend of mine wrote about me and my roommate at a summer college program i attended. [7/1997]
